We decided to search for the ideal e-commerce solution. There is a lot of choice - from hosted packages at a low monthly cost (can be a good way to start but get very expensive as your needs grow - and you have to do most of the work yourself) to bespoke systems costing £10,000+. We believe we have found the best solution combining low start-up cost with the flexibility of more expensive bespoke solutions.
Our approach is based on a commercially supported open source shopping cart system CRE Loaded which, in our opinion gives the best cost/functionality mix.
The system is fully customisable to give you the look and feel that you want for your site.

Flexibilty
As our e-commerce sites are based on a commercial implementation of open source software widely used throughout the world, it is easy to develop add-ons and additional functionality. There are 1000's of users and developers around the world. It is even possible that someone, somewhere will already have developed the functionality that you are looking for. All you need to do is download it and incorporate it into your site.
We would naturally like to think that we can work with you for a long time, but you would not be tied in to BSA by proprietary software.
100% Ownership
Once the site is complete, you own it 100%. It does not rely on hosted shopping cart services where there is an ongoing monthly cost to keep your shop open (unless you go for our hosted option to spread the cost, but this too has many benefits of normal hosted e-commerce solutions. No On-Costs
Other than paying for the hosting of your website, there are no compulsory monthly maintenance or software fees. We would, however, be very interested in working with you to maintain and promote your site on an ongoing basis, but you have the choice.
Full Administrative Access
You have full access (via a secure admin login) to all elements of your site. Through the admin pages you can also access a range of reports - including order/product reports which would show how much of each product you require to fulfil an order or group of orders.
